My Nexus 7 2012 WiFi 32GB's battery was 0.0%....fully dead after not being used for a couple of months.
As an experiment I plugged it into my Nexus 6 Motorola Turbo charger, which charges the Nexus 6 very quickly.
Yes I realize that the 2012 Nexus 7 is nothing like the Nexus 6. I just thought I'd try and report out the results.
Learning: don't bother. use the original charger instead.
The N7 charged very slowly. After 3+ hours it was barely above 20% charge.
I've switched it over to charging on the original ASUS charger. In the past I found that it seemed like the original ASUS charger worked better for this N7 than did other standard micro USB chargers that I had on hand.
Update: 1 more hour on the ASUS charger and the battery went from 22% up to 60%.
note: charging with nexus turned off on both chargers.
