Is anyone else underwhelmed by the 5?

Agreed. I'm really liking my 6-week old 4XL, especially face unlock. The only issues I've had are rapid battery discharge twice within the first 2 weeks I had it, but no issues since then. I also have the Note 20U, and the Pixel is the one I'm using as my phone--because I like it so much. The Note is a backup and I'm using it as a small tablet.
Nice, glad your liking them , good combo

Putting the procesor to one side, the thinner bezels, ram and bigger battery are IMO an upgrade. The FPS whilst not an upgrade I do prefer especially as proper secure Face unlock looks unlikely to be widely adopted anytime soon.

Would have prefered it to be slightly bigger or an XL option, having said that an XL option would have pushed down the size of the standard model.

It is just £599 in the UK which is a brilliant price. If I needed a new phone I would be all over this P5. I may still consider one later on next year but for now I love my S10+

The only problem I have with it is the size, I pre-ordered and cancelled and bought the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE instead for now....I may look at it again in the future (it'll be discounted before Christmas)

I'm in the exact same boat as you, Kizzy! Love my S10 too much to part with it now.

There are a few things I would like to change, but if I had to change just one thing, it would be the screen. I want a QHD resolution like the one on my Pixel 4XL.

Yes, I am underwhelmed by the P5. I have the 4xl and love it. Google is making improvements in the 5 in areas that I don't care about. I don't need more storage, ram, or battery life than what is in my 4xl. The P5 removes features that I enjoy on my 4xl like good quality speakers, a telephoto lens, QHD screen, and active edge (which I use all the time). It is really disappointing that they are still using 18w charging, only a dual camera setup, and not offering a larger screen option.
I hope Google changes course next year for the 6 or I could be holding on to my 4xl for a very long time.

I have a pixel 4 my first pixel since December 2019 and after setting it up with features I need and disable the ones not needed, it lasts a day easily, and is the best Android phone I have owned, and with the best components and features a real flagship,
So was awaiting a pixel 5 flagship with 5G and perhaps a slightly larger battery, only to see a mid
range device with the many of the pixel 4 features removed, and an Aluminium back with a hole covered over with paint? The glass was better,
the 4a and 4a 5G cover the low and mid range
and no Flagship with all the bells and whistles,
So will keep my pixel 4 and hope a pixel 6 Flagship arrives eventually.

Pixel 5 is a great phone in its own ways , but I want a flagship phone , the best of the best put in it . Your right they have the midrange covered and low end .

Size and screen size, besides that I see nothing wrong with it. Looks great to me.

I totally agree! I'm ready to let go of my 3XL that I've had almost 2 years. It's odd though I felt it was underwhelming to go from the 3XL to 4XL but looking forward to the 5.

I'm thinking of getting rid of the 3XL too. Still on the fence with the 5 though.
