Why does my re-enabled Google Play Music only open through the Play Store?

Re-enabled Google Play Music Only Opens Through Play Store

I was having trouble with Google Play Music recognizing some of my downloaded mp3 files, and I found a lot of people on-line who suggested simply disabling and then re-enabling Play Music. After doing that, it does now recognize the files - however, it is now missing from the app drawer and I can only open it by going into through the play store (using the "Open" button, next to the "upgrade" button after searching for Google Play Music). It's a big hassle.

Any suggestions about how I can get it to appear in the app drawer, or to get the icon back to my home screen again?

Thanks,
Kelly

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Does this persist after a reboot? If so, I'd suggest a cache partition wipe, but need to know which phone first.

It's a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and it originally did persist after a reboot. However, your suggestion about cache clearing seemed to work (after another reboot, of course).

Thank you!
