Red LED light

My Gnex started flashing a red LED light, and I can't figure out where it is coming from. No voicemail, battery charged, etc. Any idea what a blinking red LED might be coming from?
It stops are starts again, this has been going on for two days.

Are you using any apps to control the LED?

Red is tied to Google+ notifications by default. Have you rebooted?

Thanks, rebooting helped. I rebooted before (although I am not rooted, my bootloader is unlocked and I backed up my Nexus earlier this week; which reboots the phone after the backup).
As of this morning, it is no longer blinking. it is probably G+, and I did look and thought I cleared everything, but it kept blinking until I rebooted last night.
I purchased Lightflow, I am going configure it later, this should give me more control over the LED indicators.

I am having the same problem on my Note 3. It has been a week now and the red LED light flashes at a steady pace for no reason. If I wake my phone it will go off for about 10 minutes. It then comes on again. All notifications, missed calls, etc. cleared. Rebooted, took SIM and battery out. Still no resolution. I have had my Note 3 for a year now. Not anything on the internet about it.
