Why am I unable to access the internet even when my mobile data is on?

mobile data is on but can't access internet

My HTC desire 820 can't access internet through mobile data though H signal is strong and mobile data is charged. But everything works well with WiFi.
I had similar problem at the beginning when I bought it but worked when I updated. Same thing is happening now and I have updated everything, cleared clache, cleared data and did everything but still not working.

Welcome to AC.

Have you tried toggling Airplane Mode on and off, and Mobile Data off and on?

Rebooting the phone sometimes helps as well.

I got this problem to but when my mobile data limit was reached. I know it my not be same thing as in Your case but something consumed my data in the background and can't figure out what.
Try checking You limit
