3rd party texting app notification issues.

I've seen threads for this in the past but no answers as to what's causing it or if their is a fix. but I've used both Handcent and Go SMS and from time to time it will recieve text and nto give any noticifcation at all. It's really annoying to miss a text for hours on end or until I go into the app just to make certain the notifications didn't stop. Does any one hve any idea what's going on with this?

I've seen some issues with double notifications that had a settings fix, but nothing like what you're describing.

I wonder if this is related to the crappy multitasking this phone has. The SMS program really isn't running in the background, so no notification.

are you running a task manager that set to kill off the go sms or handcent. This will cause you to miss notifications.

I've ran Handsent on both my OG Evo and now my LTE for a looong time and have never experienced the issue you have. Something is clearly off.
