Hi - new forum user, forgive me if this is covered elsewhere ... a link to another thread would be most welcome.
My experience is this: I get a text message, and it makes the sound I have assigned, wakes up the screen, and the little LED light above the HTC logo pulsates slowly. Fine so far.
However, if I'm not there to see/hear this, apparently all visual/audible evidence that I have a waiting text message disappears in a short amount of time. The screen goes back off (of course), and the LED doesn't flash any more. I've gotten several texts "late" because of this. My old (crap) phone would emit a small beep at regular intervals (ever 5 min?) after the initial message notification, and I would LOVE to have this phone do that, too.
Is this possible? What else would I need to tell you about my phone? I have a very standard HTC EVO 4G LTE from Sprint, untouched by any hacking.
