So I flashed a new ROM (EVOlvedROM Directors Cut RC1 "Bringing Sexy Back") to my recently rooted EVO 4g and now when I try and restart my phone normally it gets stuck at the white "HTC EVO 4G" screen...

Obviously there's something wrong with this ROM, I can still boot my phone into recovery, I just need someone to explain to me how to safely remove this custom ROM and flash another, or return it to the stock ROM on my way to flashing another one later.

I'm obviously pretty new to this but I really want to experiment with all of the Superuser capabilities...

Thanks for the help!

Did you do a nandroid backup before flashing the ROM?

Did you do a full wipe before flashing the ROM?

take out the battery, and hold down the volume button and the power, when in bootloader click recovery and then click on restore. After restore hit reboot system now and you should be good. (:

This is in case you didn't make a backup (which you should of done). Download a rom on your pc. Hook your phone to your computer and in recovery you can mount your usb storage to transfer the rom over. Just another way of doing it.

Be careful with directors cut Rom. It has big issues with 0004 version EVOs as well as for beginners. I have seen some issues with this Rom in other forums.
