News Widget keeps stopping

I really like the News Widget, and added it to my main Home screen, but three times now, I have noticed that the widget became unresponsive and was not scrolling through news items like it should. I found I could still tap the icon on the left and it would bring up the News app, but the news item on the right side of the widget was frozen.

Anyone else see this? I removed it for now, and I'm already missing it! My Main screen is set up to be my "Information Overload Central"!

I tried the widget again, and once more, it hung up after a while. Can someone please put it on one of your screens and monitor to see if this is a common issue, or something weird with just my device?
