Outlook contacts problem

We have been having issues with two of our EVO users lately where their Outlook contacts were sorted by Last Name, First Name. After upgrading their EVO to 2.2 both of their contacts have now changed to First Name Last Name and it is driving them crazy. I have looked online for a while and could find no one having this issue until recently. I read a post that said it was an HTC issue and they knew about it and were working on it. Have any of you had this issue? It completely reverses the sort name and there is not an easy way to revert back to the last, first name sort.
