App sugggestions

My phone is slated to arrive on Tuesday, and after I get my number ported over and all the technical stuff taken care of, what are the best app suggestions? I know the Android market is growing pretty fast from what I've heard, so there must be some good apps on there.

What are the suggestions of more experienced Evo users for apps. Rooting isn't something I think I want to do, so make sure the apps can be used on an un-rooted phone.

Werd... no one can tell you what apps to download, and it's hard to suggest them... if you like to eat out, then Yelp. If you like games... Angry Birds, If you like customization, Handcent.

Evernote is good for taking notes. Great compatibility with Firefox...

VPlayerBeta is good for playing a variety of videos on your phone...

But definitely use AppBrain to browse the market. It's much easier than on the phone.

I concur with truslide, most of the apps that Gekko mentioned are preinstall on your Evo and just required updating besides those apps are things that he likes or require.

I would suggest that you download appbrain.com on your computer now, you don't need your phone to do this and start browsing and selecting the apps that you like or require. When phone arrives download the software to your phone and sync with your computer ota.
