sd safe to unmount issue

evo keeps saying it is safe to unmount sd card, its like it can see it,but can not mount it.
any ideas? and yea i did drop the phone the other night

Try removing the SD card. powering up the Evo then pull the battery and reinstall the sd card and power it back up again.

Since the card is under the battery, it most likely got broken internaly from the battery hitting it when you dropped your phone. Try another card, or test the current non working card in another device.....

I also.noticed that the evolution can't mount an improperly formatted card but that doesn't sound to be the issue in your case.

tried it in another phone, did not recognize.. 32 gig card down the drain grrr

format the card on a PC - sorry bout any information thats on it..
