Evo Shift is better then Evo 4G (my discoveries)

so to start.. I just sold my evo for $300 bucks. Not bad


Here are the issues. What do you find most important? Media or normal functions. (lol)


Problems I had with my Evo 4G

Lag when erasing messages.

I have a nosey g/f who loves to see my phone and don't let her of course. (I am no little b***c) but I got drunk one day and passed out. didn't lock the phone. I got an ass chewing for a few messages that were not that bad cause I erased the previous. anyways....

so, I would have tons of text messages. Going into your message box (sms)
and deleting messages seemed like a lag. took forever...
you know SMS > DELETE> SELECTING X ON ITEMS YOU WANT DELETED or hit menu again and delete the whole box...

GOOD LUCK!!! the circle would rotate and rotate... rotate... and then sms would get an error and force close.

down loading SMS apps didn't help. Same crap.


Oh my god! EVO SHIFT deleted messages quick and no lag! very impressive.



SPEED TEST:

Used voice to text on both phones. both on wifi...
i would say "What is going on tonight any paties?"

Evo shift took the voice command and had it in text while evo 4g was still thinking!!! nice!!!

Internet battle.. Evo shift took that! a few other tests i did.. shift killed it..


**** BUT ******

Evo Shift has a few flaws....


Ok, in the browser... Go to full flash youtube.com

watch any video on full screen mode.. LOL!!!! The words were not on tempo with the lips. the video would pause while music or sound was playing.
i was pissed!!!!!!! i love watching flash videos on full screen.
sometimes, videos are not availble in mobile version..

Ok, But dolphin browser saved that. you can watch youtube on full screen with no issues. but dolphin doesn't have that mobile viewing option you can uncheck..

but you are asking.. why do you use the standard browser??????

HTC has an option where you can remove MOBILE VIEWING.. that's why I LOVE HTC products.. that's why the galaxy tab sucks. no MOBILE VIEWING OPTION to uncheck.

samsung doesn't have that option. try it out.

go to settings in your browser and see if you have "view mobile"
uncheck that box..

you go right into the full pages. youtube, Pornhub (i used that as a test)

with the evo4g you can see full screen and forward the video by moving the little bar. amazing for a mobile device.

EVO4G = great media and pics but has alot of flaws.. baby ones. Ones that can get you in trouble.. (sms, freezing, shutting down and resetting, battery life)


EVO shift = great functions. kicks butt in speed but has a one clitch so far.. videos. works great with the youtube app.

evo had issues but was a beatiful beast in the media department. (big screen)

I'm still playing with the evo shift.. See what else I discover.

I haven't had any issues with voice & video sync on full flash youtube on my Shift, but good post lol

Wow, nice review ... unfortunately, that's just one individual result - No other Sprint phones are selling as much as the Evos. I have two and I've never had any of those problems yet.

If the Evo shift work out better for you.. that's good to know. The best part of all this is that you're still with an Android phone. And that's what counts.

One thing that drives me nuts is the fact that HTC put freaking symbols on the spacebar. What were they thinking?! Now whenever I'm typing an address I have to remember to unlock the function key before hitting space. Hasn't happened yet :/

The hub was for testing only. Wanked it on my girl.. Did the spider man on her .. you know .. put it on the hand and peter parker'd it on her nostrals..LOL

seriously though.. So far the shift is working great. Except those media issues.


What i'm upset about is.. Verizon!!! man they got phones coming out the ying yang! right when the thunderbolt is about to drop .. a secret phone comes out????

dude!! and sprint got the ECHO!!! yuck!!!!!!

the evo 2 better have dual core, 3D, 10 mega pixal, and a bunch of other features to make up for the pain!!!

will fiddle with the shift for now.
