I just bought a HTC One a9 from a lady at a yard sale. I charged it then turned it on, it went straight to a white screen saying "Your phone is encrypted. To decrypt your phone, enter your screen lock pin. Then it has a line to enter numbers and underneath that is 2 gray boxes. the top says DECRYPT and the lower EMERGENCY CALLS. Under those has an attempt counter which is down to 19 now. I went back to where I got it but the lady said there was never any pin put in it and she bought it new. I tried to reboot, I tried to put it into bootloader mode, recovery mode, and it reboots into download mode. Recovery mode starts with a red triangle and exclamation point and after waiting a bit goes back to the first screen to enter the pin. Is there anything I can do or am I stuck with an expensive paperweight?
