I've read a few reviews of the HTC One saying HTC has overhyped and under delivered on the camera again (of course referring to the HTC One X). On the contrary, I couldn't be happier with the camera on my One X and am wondering if I would be with the camera on the One as well. Admittedly, lowlight shots are not great on my phone, but daylight and action shots using burst mode are extraordinary and have amazing detail! A trade off I can live with. My photos are always taken, "full auto". Can the One stand up to my One X samples below? uploadfromtaptalk1364405869865.jpguploadfromtaptalk1364405906462.jpguploadfromtaptalk1364405935602.jpguploadfromtaptalk1364405981305.jpguploadfromtaptalk1364406076443.jpguploadfromtaptalk1364406126601.jpguploadfromtaptalk1364406166192.jpguploadfromtaptalk1364406193183.jpguploadfromtaptalk1364406218929.jpgBecause other than that, I love the HTC One!

From what I have seen of what you are shooting, you shouldn't have an issue at all with the HTC One camera. Where you will run into issues (rumored to be solved via software update soonish) would be in environments of extreme light conditions, like taking a picture of a lightbulb in a dark room. You also seem to be a fan of capturing action shots - which the One will do arguably better than any other phone because of Zoe.

My guess is you will like it more than your One X but it may take a little bit of getting used to. Also, nice shots!

Dayum, those are good shots. I think you'll be happy with the HTC One.

Check out Alex's tips, and a really good one is to shoot in Zoe in then grab one of the single frames.

I read somewhere (maybe AC?) that even bright day lit shots taken with the One were "soft" where as mine are very sharp. That's really my main concern. Unfounded?

This phone captures action shots so well, and they are a lot of fun to share!
