4 G settings

I got a new htc one a couple of weeks ago and having trouble with one of the apps that accesses my tv recording computer. The app works fine if I am on my wireless conection. But as soon as I goto the 4g it will not comunicate with the tv server. Does anyone know it the ht one 4G has any tweaks or ports that may not be not open? This app worked fine with my old 3 g phone.
Forgot to mention I am on AT&T

It's possible the app doesn't recognize the 4G as a valid data connection.

Are you getting any error messages or does it just not work. A little more info would help to diagnose the issue.

It will connect when I open the app. But as soon as I try to give it any commands it looses connection and I can go to the next page of the app and manualy connect and as soon as it needs data it disconnects again. I am working with the app author also. i just thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone could give any insight if the at&t htcone 4G was different in any way.
