Has anyone that updated their M7 to Lollipop and have it significantly impact their battery life. My AT&T M7 was going strong until I updated, but since then, it dies quickly even when the phone was off. I tried to recalibrate the battery by holding the volume keys and power button while it flashed on and off for a few minutes like I saw on another thread last night. I then let the phone charge to 100% at about midnight last night and unplugged it and just let it sit there. This morning, it had drained over 50% in 7 hours of no use. Here are the screenshots of the battery stats. Does anyone have any tips on what is going on?

Mine is awful after the update. 100% in the morning. If I let it sit idle, no use, its down to 80% by 9am.
Full charge at 6am, with moderate use, I'm down to 40% by 10am.

Before the update, with same usage, I wouldn't hit 40% until 5pm, if not later.

The other issue I have, is once I hot 20% battery life, I can literally watch my battery drain. From 20% to zero is about 15 minutes.

Awful

My Nexus 7 had the same problem until 5.1 came out. Seems that a memory leak causes battery drain and slows down the phone. So if HTC doesn't plan on a 5.1 update the problem won't go away.

Hi all, have you guys looked at all your settings after update? And I have read on many Samsung forums that a factory reset fixed a lot of issues for many after their updates. Battery being a major one. Another thing is any connection optimization settings you may have should be looked for/at. Something that switches between WiFi and cell signals for best reception. I know Sprint has an app for that and you can disable it. I have an Evo 4g LTE on 4.1.1 but was thinking of an m7 for my next phone. Goodluck.

It's always good to do a factory reset and system cache clear to get rid of the garbage left behind from previous updates.

(Taiwanese version)

My battery life improved after Lollipop, without factory reset.

Note it's not my primary phone, but when I do use it, it seems to last a bit longer now.

I was having major battery issues with my M7 previous to the update and after. The battery would drain fast, the phone would get hot and it would be hard to charge or not charge at all at times. So I did the factory reset. Now my battery is way better! The phone is not getting hot at all now and it charges and holds the charge much better! Significant difference. I've not loaded a bunch of the apps back that I had on the phone only the important ones. I'll add others back as needed.

If only the update could fix my pink camera. Not happening. I don't want to send it back for repair
