S24U wireless charging issues with vehicle

"There definitely seems to be something up with the S24s though because basically they're manufactured like trash and are creating issues like this. "
My 2023 Hyundai Venue charges my S24U wirelessly just fine. If anything the Samsung phones are more advanced than the cars. There's certainly a compatibility issue between your Hyundai and the phone but my Hyundai has no issue...so which company is to blame here? I say Hyundai is the problem not Samsung. Is there a firmware update available for your car?

I still doubt it is the phone. Qi 2.0 is backwards compatible with Qi 1.0. If it wasn't none of those phones would charge. I still think it is the car that is the problem.

I tend to agree that it's not your s24. It would be different if you had another s24 that worked everytime in your car.

There isn't much wiggle room where the vehicle charge pad is, but I have tried to move it around as much as I can. I should have mentioned originally that I did manage to finally get the phone to register on the charge pad only once. The light in my vehicle came on and the phone stopped having a heart attack. This came after about 40 minutes of fiddling around with it non-stop and I have not been able to duplicate the circumstances that allowed it to engage the charge.
Why would you toggle off super fast charging? Isn't this a key feature>?

I have a 2025 yaris & the charging slot is separated by an adjoiner in the console which prevents the S24 from sitting flat where the charging contact is. It was obviously designed for smaller phones, stupidly, as we all want the bigger flagship devices now. As it was sitting at a slant on the devider & moving around the connection just wouldn't hold.
I solved it by buying some small 2mm thick non slip furniture pads from Amazon & sticking them on the left hand side of the console charging side at the top & bottom.
Now the phone sits just above the charge coil (maybe just higher than the thickness of a standard case, also resting on the centre devider & it charges fine now.
The charge is **** slow though but I refuse to cable charge when there's a dedicated wireless charger in the car.
At the very least it keeps its current charge when using Android Auto.

Just read into this thread ... I had a similar problem when I first used an aramid Qi ready case. Wireless charging did not work. Taking off the case it worked.

Now, I have a new Audi A6 and there it works but the phone gets terribly hot on the charger pad.
