Boo, my quad core One X is left hanging in favor of a crippled AT&T version.

I guess it pays to be big enough to get the CEO of HTC on the phone and give him an ultimatum.

I guess I can take solace in the fact that a rushed fix is not the best fix.

Yeah more than likely this SW has been in testing with AT&T for the last couple weeks. The SW that was on the released device was tested back in early April so this most likely was tested in the last few weeks and is being rushed a bit to address this problem...

Well mine was the wifi kept dropping and reconnecting at different times...

So far so good, in the process of reloading all 50-60 apps that I had and it hasn't dropped once...

It does but once I started Google Play all the apps started downloading automatically.

I believe if you load an update via plugged into your computer like this one then it wipes clean, I've seen this with other android devices as well.

If you do an OTA update then you most likely don't have to reload. So it comes down to whether you want to wait for the OTA or not...
