Mail App notification sound playing twice

I'm having problem with the new mail notification sound on the default Mail App (Not gmail). Every time I get a new message I will get two notification sound. Looked everywhere for a setting but no luck. Any idea?

Just to let you know, you're not the only one. I experience the same thing and am just now looking into resolving it. I'll post back if I find the answer somewhere.

What type of email is it, Yahoo, Gmail, Facebook, ISP email?

On other threads, people have reported having an app for something like Yahoo installed, and it gives a notification as well as the Mail app. Look around to see if there are any of these installed.

Only my Exchange email also. This is my work email so it's not tied to anything else.

Glad other people are getting this, means it's not something I've done

I'm sure it only started after the update to 4.0.4

I get it now and again....Once when I get the email and once when I open it if I do it really quickly.

Its really not a big deal so not gonna stress about it.

Do both notifications go away if you turn off the Email notification?

There is only one notification, just the tone is doubled up

I've been having the same issue ever since I got my Evo LTE. Any fox for this? Kind of annoying.
