So folks who have their U11 - what do you guys think? Let us know!

Don't be shy, share with us and let us know your thoughts on the HTC U11!!!

I can only say 1 thing right now ... Since I was on my way to work right when it got there and I rushed to open the box...

1. The black is awesome

More to come..

Mac

I love the blue. The included ear buds rock, especially on my train ride home (noise cancelling). GPS seems good so far. Battery life will hopefully improve.

Gotta give that battery a week to settle in good.

I'm anxious to hear from someone with a Verizon model and hear what they have to say about it's functionality on Verizon's network. I want to pre-order one so bad but I am a little spooked until I hear definitively that signal and calling works as it should.

As I use headphones and GPS frequently, I'm stoked to hear this! Let us know how battery life is for you after the first couple of days!

Phone is snappy fast!
Brilliant Black is stunning and attractive.
Camera is cool. Crisp indoor pictures. I haven't took any outside yet.
Earbuds are awesome. I definitely can tell the difference when noise cancellation is turned off.

I'm loving my black. Phone is quick . Screen is better than my HTC 10. Everything transferred over great. The only questions I really have at this point are: How do you change the color scheme of the Google Messages app, and how do I get the voicemail app back so i can use Sprint Visual Voice mail I'm paying for?

I have 4 Blue ones. 2 are now activated. Crazy fast restore from Google Drive and CM Backup.
1. I am with you about the Sprint Voice Mail. Had to set up my voice greeting once again. I am not used to the Google phone app.
2. Boom sound is pretty good. Not as loud as the M8 playing the same song on Spotify, but sound is clearer.
3. Ultrasonic headphones definitely noise cancel well, and I think they sound better than the HK headphones on the M8 Harman Kardon edition.
4. Phone is slippery.
5. Sprint LTE download speed at my house is 35 MB/sec vs 17 on my M8. Nice radio. A little slower than my iPhone 7 Plus download speed on Verizon at 50 MB/sec.
6. I miss the IR remote control on my M8.
7. FM radio with Next is a big NO GO.
8. Initial camera thoughts are that it is as good as the iPhone 7 Plus, but the portrait mode on 7 Plus still is better.

Just wondering, is there a mode in U11 like Selective Focus in S8 which basically blurs the background/foreground depending on the focus (near and far focus)?

But reviews have said how loud the audio is on this one...?

Initial thoughts are as follows.

  • Screen is great for an LCD display
  • Loudspeakers sound full and very loud
  • Headphones are amazing. For ones that come with the phone, I'm struggling to think of any that are better.
  • Camera seems to be good but not really put it through its paces yet
  • Battery is superb. Really impressed by it.

Doesn't seem to have one from what I could find.

HTC is focusing on the core experience ever since the 10 rolled out, so there isn't a lot of extras.

However, you should have no issues with bokeh. The wide-aperture and 1/2.6" sensor size will help with blurring backgrounds and the closer minimum focusing distance will help too.

I've seen the shots Juan Bagnell posted on Instagram from the U11. With just some exposure tweaks, you can get some really stunning photos. It really is a very good camera. I can't wait to get a "test drive".

Question for you guys that have your hands on one. One of the reviews claims you can't see the device in landscape mode with polarized sunglasses. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

I'll try to remember to check tonight for you.
