Why does my Huawei ascend p7 not display vodafone on home screen?

A

AC Question

I recenty bought a Huawei Ascend p7 and a sim only contract from vodafone. The phone works fine, I can recieve and make calls. However on the home screen, instead of displaying vodafone as the network it displays sainsburys. I tried another sim on o2 and it displays o2 and when i reinsert my vodafone sim it says vodafone but then a few seconds later changes to Sainsbury's. Anyone know what can be done to correct this, if anything? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would think Vodafone gave you a sim for their network that was destined for Sainsbury"s (supermarkets) own brand network via Vodafone.

I would pop in to a store and they would swap it for you.

You can also check About Device - Status, but even if it showed Vodafone there, I know what you mean about having Sainsbury"s emblazoned on your screen, especially when you went to Vodafone.
