Hi, I have samsung galxy s3 clone --a chine phone .It was working pretty fine. But since last two days i am unable to connect to any GSM network. I have rebooted the device also done factory reset but that did not helped. So how more i can investigate the issue ? I have a couple of doubts that..may be GSM carriers have refused to provide services to my device as it is a china model or my device has some issue ? How can i conclude any one of them ??

Thanks.

You can conclude it is your cheap Chinese knockoff phone. The carriers are not discriminating. They are happy to charge you for access no matter what phone you have.,

Thanks Pat.
So can a manual update from android version 4.1 (i.e. currently i have) to version 4.3 solve the issue ??
Or it is pure hardware related issue ??

And one more thing to add ... yesterday night when i ran signal test for my phone ..where it called emergency number 112 , the test passed.

Regards.

It's certainly possible an update might fix it, but I have my doubts. Can you try the SIM card in another phone? Have you tried taking it out and cleaning the contacts? Did your carrier possibly disable your account either by accident or because you ran out of funds?

Not sure where you are but in the US, emergency calls (911) must by law go through regardless of whether your account is active.

my friend im having the same problem to. i think your in lebanon the emergency number is 112. i called the carrier touch and they told me that the micro sim is wrongly cutted. im still not sure about that. i'm searching for solutions too.
