4.4 out for a while now, still ZERO browsers with 4.4 "immersive mode" API

I would like to bring up a discussion on this since I believe it is of utmost urgency. I have noticed that there are a lot of different big name browsers on Android yet coincidentally not a single one of them has been updated with a simple new API which allows for immersive mode full screen.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it's a matter of the API being more complex to program around than intended or is there something else that is holding this very simple yet crucial update?

How and why has Chrome out of all the browsers not been updated with this?

Doesn't matter to me, I'm surprised that's the case, but I use Naked Browser which has fullscreen mode although it does not hide the NavBar, I still required it to navigate anyway.

Fortunately I use a custom rom and it has a "immersive mode" toggle in the power menu.
