Will the Galaxy S3 Get Lollipop?

Even though the S3 is two years old, it's still one of the most popular phones in the world and Samsung hasn't even discontinued the S3 line yet! I recently bought a GS3 because of the price (scored one on eBay for $120!) and because the specs are still pretty good. Currently the S3 is running KitKat 4.4.2. Do you think Samsung will roll out a Lollipop update for the S3, or will it sadly end with KitKat?

At least I'm rooted so I can use CyanogenMod to flash Lollipop myself if that becomes the case.

No, Samsung has a terrible record when it comes to getting updates out to their phones. I have a feeling based on history that the oldest Sammy phone that is going to see an update is the S4.

It's a shame too because the S3 is very capable of running Lollipop, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. You are better off getting it done with Cyanogen Mod anyway because it will have the AOSP material ui instead of that God awful touchwhiz.
