AT&T s6 edge on Cricket Wireless

I have an at&t s6 edge but I'm on the cricket network. I've been trying to get android 6.0 for a month now but I can't figure it out. I have an AT&T sim with my phone but I've out it in and it doesn't give me the update. It allowed me to update to 5.1.1 6 months ago. What do I need to do?

I think you just need to wait.

When I had my previous phones (Nexus 5 and Nexus 6) on Cricket, updates took forever,even though they were technically unlocked phones purchased directly from Google. The moment you put a Cricket (or AT&T) SIM in them, they follow AT&T's rules for updates. I finally forced the Nexus 6 to update to 6.0 by downloading it directly from Google's download site and then using the Wugnet Nexus Toolkit to install it..
