Hi all. I have tried everything. I have 5+ Google accounts attached to my S8+. Gmail and the other options listed in Settings > Cloud and Accounts > Google will not update/ sync automatically. For instance, with Gmail I have to open one account and then select > All accounts and manually sync.
I have tried deleting and adding accounts, removing battery optimization, checking all sync options are on, and even a factory reset and still no go. I even uninstalled all the Gmail updates and turned off automatic updates. This actually resolved the problem for about 24 hours then back to no sync.
I have an LG v20 as well and that phone updates instantaneously!! I am to the point where I am thinking of abandoning the S8+. I depend on the email updates for work and now I have to carry two phones to feel safe.
Any help is very much appreciated.
