Google Home app says it is installed but can't find it on tablet!

Just got a Chromecast so needed to set it up. Google says get Google Home app on Android tablet (Android 6.0.1) use browser to get app which then says it is installed but can't find it in Apps or Settings/Apps. Have tried several times but if I go back to Play Store it says the app is already installed. Very frustrating. Can somebody please assist as I need to use Chromecast Tuesday to cast Tablet to big TV.

Welcome to Android Central! Which tablet do you have? Install Google Home using the Play Store app, not the Play Store website. If you go to the website, it will show as "Installed" if you ever installed it on any of your other devices. You have to tap the Installed button, after which you'll be given a choice of devices to install to. If the tablet doesn't show up in that list, then it's not compatible.
