factory reset questions

im having a problem with viruses and/or adware,i probably downloaded these by mistake.if i do a factory reset,will that remove these issues from the phone and will i lose my contacts and apps that i have on the phone?if i will lose my contacts,is there somewhere on the cloud i can move them to then put them back on the phone once the reset is finished?thanks

question,if i backup to cm backup,will i also backup the virus/adware im having issues with and therefore reload the same problems

Resetting will not necessarily eradicate bad stuff. Do not use Auto Restore of apps, and be careful what apps you download subsequently. If still no good, it may be necessary to reflash the stock ROM.

Honestlybi had a virus in file manage delete file that seem off you can open like that I did it got rid of my virus
