Auto brightness, LG health stopped working.?

just the other day, I noticed my screen brightness did not adjust once in the bright light or Sun.
After my walk, I checked my LG health application, nothing?

LG recommended I do a hard reset, I opted to start in safe mode, and this returned the functions for 20 or so hours?

I'm hoping to find a permanent solution other than (hard reset)
As I am new to this and fear loosing any of my information.

My back up is on SD not encrypted, phone on the other hand is. Running 6.0 with the latest update. not rooted. I do sync with Google it's simply that I've never performed this, reset, and without assurance of it rectifying my issues......

Has anyone else experienced this problem started June 22 / 16.

I was going to suggest Safe Mode. Did you actually disable or uninstall any rogue apps?

downloaded AC app! making this interaction much simpler ;
FIXED! enabled google apps I had disabled a week prior to the problem. so far, so good!
