Using bluetooth mouse on LG G4

I have the Microsoft Surface (bluetooth) Arc Touch Mouse. I originally got it for my laptop, but found that it can be paired with my phone as well. Once paired, I have a mouse cursor on the screen and am able to scroll left/right, up/down, and select apps and buttons. My problem is, if I turn off the mouse and then back on, it disconnects, and will not automatically pair again. The only way to get it back working is to unpair the mouse in the phone, then remove the batteries from the mouse. Then replace the batteries and search for and re-pair the mouse. Then it is good to go for another stretch. This is a really cool option, but cumbersome to get it reconnected each time. I am open to suggestions on how to enable the LG to automatically reconnect when the mouse gets close or on another bluetooth mouse that is more stable.
