[LG G5] Volume limited when headphones plugged in, can't allow system UI to draw over other apps

[Android Central Question]

So whenever I plug in any pair of headphones, my LG G5 limits my volume to barely listenable levels, to the point I stopped listening to music on my phone.
Whenever I try to manually increase the volume on the extended volume menu, it prompts me to allow system UI to draw over other apps, which leads me to a menu with that option greyed out, I tried disabling other apps' permission to draw over other apps and re-try enabling it on system UI, but nothing worked.
