Picture Duplication

Each time my OGP restarts or has to scan the media files, it duplicates all the pictures I have taken. The original pictures are saved to the SD card, but each duplicate is saved onto the phone's internal storage. It has been doing this since the first day I got it, so there are a lot more duplicates of the first pictures than the recently taken pictures. I've talked to AT&T store workers and a guy on the phone, who contacted LG. LG said it's a semi-known issue. Suggestions from AT&T and LG have ranged from getting a new phone through the warranty, deleting everything on the SD card, and doing a master reset on the phone. I really don't want to have to do a reset if I don't have to, and deleting everything on the SD card won't help since all the duplicates are being saved on the phone. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have any suggestions?
