Palin vanilla unrooted Optimus S -- stuck in recovery loop...??

I plugged in my LG optimus S to charge on USB on my computer. In the morning I wope up, and it is stuck in an andless recovery loop, Never happened before. Battery was also practically dead. "reboot system now" just goes back into loop. Never rooted. Any ideas?

turn off phone and charge in regular wall outlet, then once charged turn phone back on if it goes to recovery (stock recovery), I would suggest a factory reset from recovery. But charge it first in wall outlet.
