Dac and bluetooth

I owned the note 4 before getting the LG v10 and to my ears the sound quality of the LG v10 is leagues ahead over bluetooth. I know the LG v10 has a hifi dac (this doesn't apply to bluetooth connections?) , but what makes it that much better over bluetooth?

One possibility is that the Note 4's EQ was turned on when you were connected to Bluetooth, which can actually make it sound worse. Is EQ turned off on the V10?

No, the EQ was off on the note 4. Could it just be that the sound processor is better in the v10? Previously I've owned a note 5,which had good sound quality over bluetooth and the samsung s6, which didn't.

There is also an app called dacfix for the v10 that lets the dac work with all apps instead of just the built in player.
