Well it sure isn't a fantasy. Lol

About a foot feel yesterday and expecting a total of you to 30" by tomorrow. Also just had a roof collapse at a local hotel (though I suspect the roof was already weakened). Thankfully it was in the pool area and no one was around it at the time.

Man that is crazy. Sheesh. We had two 80° days so we got a little taste of spring. Can't wait for it to be consistent. God speed to you guys though.

Ain't nothin' but a thang. Lol.

These were from our last snow storm when I had to work. Roads weren't as bad, but I picked up about 3,500 lbs of ice on my rig.LG V20 - Camera shots! Show us your pictures-0403181737.jpgLG V20 - Camera shots! Show us your pictures-0403181737b.jpg

Didn't put a tree up, but it's normal to leave the lights up until it warms up enough to get them down here, meaning in Spring. So I said screw it and flipped them on. LolLG V20 - Camera shots! Show us your pictures-0415182000.jpg

At the right place and right time.

While unloading my truck next to these tracks, I heard the train horn. I wasn't able to get in place before the lead locomotives went by, but I knew it would have a pusher or two. So I hung out until it came past and got this snap of the "end" of the train. Shot in manual, and the RAW lightly edited in Snapseed (mostly to remove the auto-jpeg processing that dulled the image).LG V20 - Camera shots! Show us your pictures-0416181600a-01.jpeg

Loving the new Lightroom app which is basically the desktop version on mobile now. Edited RAW files from our trip to the car wash. Last one is wide angle of course.

I went for specific looks with these shots. Snapseed was perfect for what I was looking for which was sort of a gritty, grunge type look.

On the move from Maryland to South Carolina. As with tradition we took some pics at South of the Border. Portrait mode shots via Google camera. Everything else in manual.

The combination of manual mode and Google Camera have proven to be a very reliable duo and I have taken some pictures good enough to print and hang up. I have been really impressed this weekend with my family.

Re-edited this one in Snapseed to bring out the cloud detail (yay RAW detail!) so it's not so blown out. Not a big fan of the blue tint that was brought out, but I couldn't fix it any better. Still pretty happy with it.LG V20 - Camera shots! Show us your pictures-0416181600a-02.jpeg

I went to a model train show today and tried practicing panning shots to show motion. This was about the only half decent shot I got with that technique. I don't think this phone is very suitable for that. LolLG V20 - Camera shots! Show us your pictures-0428181238.jpg

This is a nice shot and it just takes a little practice but any phone with the manual controls the V20 has is suitable for these types of shots. It's just not as easy as it looks.

Thanks. I think my problem is how close I was, and the shutter lag (the time from when I pressed the button to when it actually took the shot). I'm going again today with my DSLR, and may try again.

We'll see. Here's's more from my V20 yesterday, though. The attention to detail, and their humor, is amazing.

Man I love my phone but this thing has yet failed me again albeit in a not so important as the last time moment. I even switched the camera settings to save internally to hopefully avoid any delays in writing to the memory card but alas the camera app froze on me again today while shooting videos of my kids at the playground. Nothing demanding or strenuous. Just shooting videos and the app became unresponsive. Tapped different settings. Managed to turn the phone off and on again and the camera app was still frozen before the phone shut off and rebooted. I don't know why this started happening more often seemingly this year but I'm really about to just get a cheap reliable phone and wait for the V40/Pixel 3(or S9+) since those are the only phones I really have in my radar at the moment. The P20 Pro to a further extent as well. But I can't take this much longer.

In other news l went to see Infinity Wars and it was great and long but the ending left more questions than answers for me at least. I don't follow all the movies though so that's probably why. Got a few shots with Google camera.

Manual Camera is the only camera app I've encountered with manual settings for the front camera and they actually work. Took two one second exposures handheld with no edits at the movies which is pretty impressive given the lighting conditions.
