Here's my time lapse of the Solar Eclipse in NYC (72% coverage). I didn't have the Solar Eclipse glasses and I didn't want to ruin my eyes, so I took a guess on the camera settings. I used a ND filter here.

This was a quick and dirty one out the window of the car.
Had to capture the sunset even though I couldn't stop.

Love these kinds of shots especially if you can do it safely which I'm guessing you did since you were able to post it.

Planning for some city, long exposure shots tonight with my gear if the weather holds out. I found a perfect place to safely park and not be distracted.

Were you just straight pointing it at the sun, no filters?


Man I didn't get ONE usable picture! I rigged up one of the mylar lenses from a pair of eclipse glasses, thinking it would help take pics of the sun. I think it confused the rangefinder, all the pics are fuzzy dots.

i put my solar glasses up to the lens, and used manual mode to adjust shutter speed and iso

Did anyone else do the update? I have T-mobile and I received a notification for a system update and now my camera doesn't work. :\

Edit: My sd card doesn't save new images.

This little guy took a break next to me the other day. I had my phone about 6-8" from him when I took the shot in manual (to avoid the aggressive noise reduction and keep all the details), then cropped in close for posting here.

(My apologies to anyone that involuntarily screamed at the sight of a giant bee on their screen)

Guess what I did tonight? Unedited wide angle pics. I will post more soon but I want to play around with Lightroom first. I'm starting to really love the wide angle for these types of shots because you never have to fiddle with focus.

A few from Lightroom last night. I stopped by earlier during the day to get some ideas and I think I pulled it off. I only had two nd filters which added up to ND6 so maybe I'll take a stronger one next time.

Comparison between the stock LG camera app and the Pixel Camera app on the V20. First photo is from the stock app and second is from the pixel camera app. No editing.

Little man's first day of school and my daughter losing her first tooth. No edits. In low light increasing the shutter speed with flash can work wonders and really freeze an image without blur.
