Trying to add music to my phone..

When it is connected to my computer, there are no other directories in my phone when looking from a windows computer. When I try to copy files into my phone, I get the error "Cannot copy item. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected".

Any thoughts on what I can try? I just got my phone today, so I can always factory reset if needed. Is anyone else having this issue? My phone is unlocked when plugged in. All help is appreciated.

No luck. When I plugged it in, my phone's folder pops up, but nothing in there..

Found the resolution! Swipe down to bring the notification down. Tap usb options, and then choose MTP.

Another way is to use a micro SD card with the adapter and use that to transfer your music onto it. Then install the micro SD card into the phone and away you go. Using this method, when you get a new phone, just swap in the micro SD card and away you go. Just did this when I moved from my former V10 to the V20.
