I'm a new V20 owner. I waited to save money. I just love this phone.
Anyways, I live in Canada and bought a V20 from a dealer on Kijiji. It's brand new (or was when I bought it three weeks ago). Oh! I must say the phone is an AT&T phone from the US. Everything works great (the phone connection is a bit spotty but I live in the country).
The problem I'm having is I can't use my data. I've tried everything to get it working to no avail. The phone is unlocked. All the sensors work. I can text and receive texts, make calls, download stuff using WiFi and all that.

I need some help or advice. I'm praying that it's not because it's from the States. I can't imagine why that would make any difference. I live right on the border in Niagara Falls Ontario.

Help!

I found the Lte setting. It was on.

Does anyone know how to get this AT&T phone to work properly in Canada? Maybe I should just sell it. So... Disappointed. I really wanted this phone. I thought I was doing the right thing by purchasing it this way to save money.

Can't grasp why it doesn't work the way it should just because I'm not in the states.

Could it be that it's not totally unlocked? Should I shoot over the river and go to an AT&T store and see if they can help?

I waited so long to get it. I should have just kept using my G5 (I still have it). I feel like I waisted $400.

I have the same phone in Ontario as well.
I had to input all my provider settings for data to work.
Google apn settings for your provider.
Great phone!
Love the DAC.

Can I get the settings off you or should I just call Fido?

I love the DAC as well. That's why I bought it.

Thank you so much. I got it working. Should I turn off the roaming now?

No updates. It may be worth it to pop over the border and check with AT&T. I was thinking of getting a "pay as you go" sim to check. If I ever find out I'll let you know.

Did you change the APN settings to the correct one for your carrier? When you buy other phones that's not for your carrier, you always have to set that manually. Also could be the different frequency bandwidth with the phone's hardware and your carrier. BTW Niagara Falls is kinda in a remote area, maybe there's no cell towers nearby.

Thanks, friend. I fixed it by entering the APN settings manually like you suggested. All is working fine now like I said. Even the sending and receiving of MMS messages.

Niagara Falls in a remote area? Where the heck do you live? I can see at least five towers from my property. Two if them are in the states. I do live in the boonies but only three miles from the casino. Not really that remote. I live just beyond having cable and city water. But NF is far from being remote.

Great advice! I always seem to learn something great from this forum.

Now if I could only get the IR Blaster functioning.
