Navigon Uninstalled/Refund but still charged.

I bought Navigon for the USA and after using it for half a day I decided it wasn't for me. Went to market and uninstalled/refund and got an email from google that my card was not charged. Next day I have a $40.02 charge on my card for the program. I thought if you uninstall/refund in the first 24 hours there is no charge on your card.
