New Moto Z2 Force - is camera supposed to take awful pics?

Oh...! You're referring to the "adaptive brightness" toggle? Yes, I had that on. I had thought it would be similar to (or the same as) the check box normally found on the screen brightness slider (where is that check box anyway??) Yes, with it checked off it looks much better when viewing...

New Moto Z2 Force - is camera supposed to take awful pics?

(Ha... sorry about the 2 user names... I've been posting between Tapatalk and the PC, and didn't realize Tapatalk signed me in as a user I had forgotten about. I'm the same person!)

New Moto Z2 Force - is camera supposed to take awful pics?

Okay, the conditions for photos were not optimum since the sun was setting with heavy cloud cover. But, I took a few dozen side by side comparison photos between my Z2 and my old LG G4. Now, while doing this, I learned a few things: First, the photos are only looking crappy while viewed on my...

Won't stay connected to 4G lte

Yes it was updated to Android 7.0. It was the RS988, IIRC. I can't readily check because I returned the thing to Best Buy. She was going to charge a $35 restocking fee but I convinced her to put it in as defective. I bought a new Moto Z2 Force to replace it... the difference is night and...

Won't stay connected to 4G lte

By the way, I reread through the thread... when my LTE works, it is using Band 17. So, it isn't always having some Band 17 issue. When it switches to HSPA, it usually says Band 2. (And, when it switches to "X" I have no idea what's going on because there's no signal.)

Won't stay connected to 4G lte

I may have to return it, still trying to decide. One thing I did was install the Network Cell Info Lite app (pretty cool app!) If I switch to the Plot screen, I notice the signal drops by about 12dB if I touch the phone in any way. If I leave it sitting on table without touching it, signal...

Won't stay connected to 4G lte

I bought a LG G5 from Best Buy 2 days ago, and it is also having these same problems on AT&T. My previous phone was the LG G4, and that had no problems connecting. I also have Moto G4 and Moto X Pure, plus a couple other Android phones before that as well as 2 tablets that had mobile data...

    Weird Over-sensitive Screen Issue

It worked for 12 hours then went back to being just totally awful. This G4 is mostly unusable. I hate it and wish I bought a G2 for $175. They are almost the same except the G4 has this screen issue and costs a whole lot more.

Got swipes/scrolling being mistaken for taps?

Argh! It's doing it again, back to its old ways. I tried Screen Booster again, and this time it didn't fix it. Ugh!!!!

    Weird Over-sensitive Screen Issue

I tried that one earlier and it had no effect for me. It didn't even make it take longer for a long press, like it claimed it was supposed to do.

    Weird Over-sensitive Screen Issue

I fixed it by installing SGS Screen Booster, trying/applying the settings (had no effect at all), then uninstalling the app. The screen suddenly started working immediately after uninstalling this app! It's worth a try... I don't know if it will help anyone else, or if I just got lucky.

Got swipes/scrolling being mistaken for taps?

I've been having trouble the last 10 days. I tried everything, even factory reset. The last thing I tried was to install the SGS Screen Booster app; that had no effect at all, which surprised me. So, I said screw it and uninstalled that app. Right after that, the screen reverted back to...

    Weird Over-sensitive Screen Issue

Yes! I bought my G4 the first week it came out and it has been fine up until about 10 or so days ago when I discovered it pushed an update to it. Since then, it has become mostly unusable... 50% of my attempts to scroll result in it clicking and following a link, or clicking Like, or whatever...
