I have had a similar problem receiving calls when connected to a wifi. Had to turn 4g off. Still not got a fix for this

Sorry, I meant LTE When WiFi and 4G are both on I cannot receive incoming calls or texts. I have to turn WiFi off to get these phone functions.

I have posted before about the ongoing issues with wifi affecting the phone functions on my new S5 The wor around I have found is to turn LSE off. My understanding is that this will turn off 4G. Am I right. Are there any other possible issues with disabling this.

Thanks Sirmaru I recognise that these are complex devices, I just cannot believe that the tech advisor would think it acceptable to have to turn my settings on and off manually each time I enter a WiFi zone.

Having spent a couple of hours today on the phone to various tech people at my service provider I am not much further forward. They tried to fob me off by saying I should not expect to use the phone on a network and use it to receive calls at the same time! They then suggested I turn off data...

Are you using wifi? I found that when I have wifi on I cannot receive text messages. Try turning wifi off for a time and see if that works for you Posted via Android Central App

The people in the store where I got it to not exactly fill me with any confidence. They did not seem to understand the phone or how to even start to investigate the problem.

Tried taking it back to my service provider. They didn't have a clue. Do not know if it is an issue with the handset. Can I ask them to change it?
