Movie names and title image
This issue is not directly related to the thread, but somewhat similar. I have ripped some of DVDs to mp4 files and loaded them onto my epic. When I look at them via the Gallery app, the files don't show the movie title or display the first image of the movie...
I noticed the Samsung cradle via Verizon (assume this is the home dock) costs $29.99 instead of the $39.99 that Sprint charges. Does the Verizon version fit the Epic or is it custom fit for the Fascinate only? I guess the price different goes away if you buy 2 accessories from Sprint and get...
Samsung car dock
I noticed that Verizon appears to be selling the Samsung car dock for the Fascinate when it goes on sale this week. Does anybody know if that will fit the Epic? Or if Samsung will soon release a car dock for the Epic?
It appears all four of the US Galaxy S phone have...

Navigation apps turn off screen after 30 seconds
My navigation has worked perfectly for me. I was a little nervous given the Captivate/Vibrant reviews, but mine even distinguished between my location on a sidewalk and road when I zoom in. I do make sure I have direct line-of-sight to the sky...
Ditto on finding the car dock. I saw the product number as SAMi500MNT, but can't find it anywhere. Looks pretty small but convenient with a built in power plug. I thought it would be released with the phone, but no luck yet. Anybody have any luck?
4G coverage coming faster than expected
Not random. I live in DC which is also not supposed to have coverage. The guy from a local Sprint store told me they have a 4G tower nearby for testing that would probably get me a signal. He said each tower covers 80 miles (seems like a lot but I have...
I think Sprint also targeted this phone at business users (e.g. Blackberry users). The hotspot capability (that $30/month fee dwarfs any $50 sales cost) and 4G connectivity in many cities along with a keyboard will tempt many business users. And since the business is paying for it, they are...
Reserved one at my Sprint store on Aug 31
I am a Premier but it only allowed me to reserve it on Aug 31. The reservation link no longer shows so I'm not sure if it was a trial run. But I received an email confirmation of my reservation already so I believe mine is legit.
