I downloaded the samsung desk widget to go with the dock I purchased, but it doesn't seem to be keeping the screen lit. Anyone else having this issue?

No, my screen stays on all the time when it is in the dock and running the widget.

The issue I am having is that the volume rocker is pressed until the volume is all the way off every time I put it in the dock. Even if I manage to wedge it in just so, almost anytime I touch the phone, the volume rocker gets pushed until the volume is all the way off again.

Also, the widget doesn't seem to route all the audio to the output port on the back. I'm not sure how to stream Pandora to my headphones since the headphone jack on the phone is covered by the dock. Bluetooth headphones maybe?

I glued a little piece of foam on the end of the dock to raise up the bottom of the phone. Was a good use of the obscene amount sticky glue they used in the dock packaging.

Is there anyway to keep the screen in landscape mode when you go to the home screen while on the dock? Only way I have managed is by sliding out the keyboard.

According to the instruction manual that came with the dock, the audio port in the back wont be fully activated until the Epic gets upgraded to Froyo 2.2

That is strange. Does your dock not have a concave area for the rocker? If I set my phone in the dock my rocker doesn't touch the bottom unless I really push down. I don't slide my phone all the way in, I just set it in and then slide it over. It only has to slide about a cm.

The real crime is that we have to use the keyboard to adjust the volume. And not just that, we have to push the Fn + the left or right arrow. Why not just the arrows?

If you press the speaker icon in the top left corner you can adjust the volume by touch while it's docked and playing a movie.

Good to know. Maybe this depends on the app? Last.fm didn't have that. I guess I will try a few more and see.

Ditto on finding the car dock. I saw the product number as SAMi500MNT, but can't find it anywhere. Looks pretty small but convenient with a built in power plug. I thought it would be released with the phone, but no luck yet. Anybody have any luck?

Is there a way to make it dark? I thought I might use it on my nightstand, but it is way too bright for that once I am trying to get to sleep.

Glad I'm not the only one having this issue...
right now the screen is off. It was on all night, then I touched it to make a call, now its off.

I had the same issue last night. It seems like the app only works properly when the phone is first placed in the dock. Once it is closed and then reopened on the dock, it will act as if it isn't docked. If you open the app off the dock it won't stay on either.

Thanks for pointing that out. I grabbed the phone from Sprint in the morning before work and didn't have the manual with me in the office.

Yes my dock has the concave area for the rocker... just doesn't seem to matter; the volume rocker is getting pressed anyway. Will try putting it in like you mentioned.

If you read the instructions with the dock youll see the audio through the dock is coming with 2.2.

That's funny! That takes it from very bright to bright. I would not call that dim in any way.

Ditto. But honestly I turn it off completely. When I plug it in I verify my alarm is on and then hit the power button the turn the screen off as I dont want a blaring light in my face as well as I dont want my screen on all night.
