Just did the beta enroll / unenroll. No prompt to wipe the device. Kind of a weird workaround to get 7.1.1, but it's a hell of a lot easier than sideloading via adb!

Haven't gotten it on my 5x either. Very strange. Other updates have occurred more or less at the beginning of the month.

I take public transit and don't always get a seat on the bus, so having a one-handed-use phone is a bonus. Unfortunately even with the 5x being smaller than the 6p, sometimes I have to use two hands or do a weird awkward finger stretch.

I'm a little confused on the complaints about the screen being too small. The 6p is in almost every way a superior phone. The only reason I went with the 5x was because the 6p screen is too huge for me (even the 5x was too big for me, but there's no smaller new Nexus to get).

When you say "auto turns on," do you mean it automatically charges (as opposed to drains) the 5x when you plug in the 5x? Or do you also have to press a button first on that?

If it's from the Google Play Store, you should be fine. Even a lot of the Samsung apps (like S Health) are available for non-Samsung devices.
