Nice to know it's not just me, my not-quite-2-year-old S3 Classic also has gotten VERY bad at both battery life of late and syncing with my beefy work email - it lags again, horribly, as it did last year and I got past. Anyone with ANY clues I'd love to hear it. I love it when it works well...

On my AT&T S8+, the email app badge/notification always worked fine - UNTIL yesterday's Oreo update. Now it's broken (shows nothing or always '7'). Dangit... and the fritzy mail notification on my NumberSynced Gear S3 Classic watch, which had been off and on lately, is ...off;-(

Looking at battery manager, DirecTV is using as much of my battery as my email - and I use email a LOT, have it set to check very frequently. But of course AT&T seemingly makes it impossible to delete that app - I don't have DirecTV and I don't want to lose all that power to their app! I did...

I've looked in all the keyboard/input settings I can find. Oh I meant to say, I looked at the apps' settings - no such specificity there either. I don't even see settings in the AP app - if it has it, it's well hidden.

And of course minutes after post, an AP alert shows, so this may be a "never mind." No, probably not - WiFi was on, I thought it was off. So the question remains. (Say, does anyone else's computer kick up the fan when on Android Central? Do all those ads add a load? It's a fairly new laptop too!)

Well isn't that dumb. I wonder how many 1,000s of AT&T support calls have been made over this basic feature just not working. So when is AT&T going to update the HTC to Marshmallow? I thought it was by now. Wonder if that MIGHT solve this really dumb lil problem??
