Native email app, no badge?

Hello

I recently got the S8+, and Im loving it.

I am however having an issue with it, where the native email app doesnt show a badge for unread emails.

I have it set up for my work email, so it is quite frustrating that it wont show how many unread emails I have.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Should probably mention, I have ofcourse checked that the badge was actually enabled in the app, which it is.

i have the same problem, but with the stock gmail app.

The gmail app on Touchwiz/SamsunExperience never showed badges before unfortunately so it is not a new issue and the did not fix it with Oreo Update. The stock app though always showed badges and now it no longer does.

Hello.i just updated to Oreo and the email badge does not work now either with the Samsumg email app. The email app updated as well after the Oreo update..the badge number did work previously to the oreo update..

The number badge still does work for text messages and missed phone calls after Oreo update..just not unread emails at this point..

Any advice on how to get the unread email badge to work again?

On my AT&T S8+, the email app badge/notification always worked fine - UNTIL yesterday's Oreo update. Now it's broken (shows nothing or always '7'). Dangit... and the fritzy mail notification on my NumberSynced Gear S3 Classic watch, which had been off and on lately, is ...off;-(

Not sure if this is the same but I have a little twist.

badges are working with one exception, when I go in and check only a couple of emails and leave others unread the badge disappears until I get a new email
Once I get a new email the badge reappears and then corrects itself.

Haven't noticed if this is the case on other apps or not, Textra appears to be working properly.

So I discovered that the new email badge number does show up momentarily (like 1 second) the dissapears.

Anyone else experience this?
