    S9 battery experience?

I'm really pleased. I use my phone for a lot of crap during the day besides just calls. At the end of my shift, I find myself having around 40% battery life. Considering I do a lot of social media for my job, take a lot of photos and videos, and use a lot of navigation while I drive during the...

    T Mobile Sim Card Question

I'm on TMo and making the same jump. I used my old SIM and SD. You're good to go.

So much negativity! Let's be positive.

I'm really pleased so far. I've only had it in use for maybe six hours. It's absolutely the first Samsung I've had that I didn't immediately throw a custom launcher on to it.

    Manufacturing Issues

The unlocked versions come with the born-on date, too, but that's pretty much unique to new ones. A refurb probably won't display anything.

    Stock messaging app issues

Has anyone else noticed the stock messaging app indicating an error with a sent message when no error actually occurred? I don't know any other TMoUS subscribers having a text issue. The spouse's phone is the only one of the three S7s having this problem, but the other two in the house are using...

    Refurbishment check

AFIK, you can't tell from the box. All my TMoUS replacements have come in generic white cartons. I've had experience with both TMo and AT&T openly disclosing if it is a refurb, though. It would depend on what carrier you have, too, I would assume.

Getting new S7 - Fresher Stock from ordering online or picking up in a Verizon Corporate store?

The manufacture date is on the box, at least on my TMo model. ETA: It's on AT&T boxes, too, so you should be good to go. I'll also add that if you ask the sales rep really nicely, they'll check the freshness dates.

    Galaxy S7 audio cutting out

I'd try a factory reset, then warranty. I haven't seen, though, whether you've tested these applications with a Bluetooth connection? If one app works flawlessly, that would seem to rule out a hardware problem, but that's such a headscratcher of a problem that I wouldn't rush to rule anything...

I am Windows Mobile user thinking of switching. I have some questions...

I didn't think to mention Textra, but I can vouch for it, too. Messaging in Windows is so easy and great. Textra is really close to that and the developers have built in a few extra layers of protection against SMS and MMS malware.

Is there any application to increase the volume on my Galaxy S7?

The headphones are your problem. Ditch those. The pack-in headphones are absolutely my only complaint about this phone. The ones that came with my S5 are my go-to headphones. Short of that, there's been some really good deals on wired and wireless sets on Amazon lately. Do your ears a favor.

I am Windows Mobile user thinking of switching. I have some questions...

    1. The differences are exaggerated. If it's American or Chinese, it's SD. Everywhere else, it's Exynos. 2. You should be good. My little bean bag chargers that I used with my L925 work with my S7. 3. I don't think you can get a non-carrier-branded one stateside that will come with a warranty. If...

How much worse is the Exynos chip for gaming?

Doesn't seem like a problem for this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXztRcfmZSU#t=100 Personally, I would think the Exynos would do better. As far as his points about heat, the Snapdragon 820 can get kind of toasty itself, especially when using it for VR. I'd love to hear anyone else's...

On my galaxy s7 ,deleted emails reappear from as far back as 2012

If you can tell me, like B. Diddy asked, what client and what provider you're using, I can probably help you troubleshoot it. E-mail is one of my stronger suits. Be warned, though, that my answer to most e-mail problems is "CloudMagic." In all seriousness, let us know how you're doing your...

ZAGG - InvisibleShield HD Screen Protector (not glass) for Samsung Galaxy S7 (NOT Edge)

I just want a screen protector that actually covers the display area. I get why the manufacturers aren't making them to cover the whole glass, but the display area really needs to be completely covered. My go-to screen protector brand is Tech Armor. Even those don't fit the display area. I'm...

Do I really need virus protection?

I'm on the same page as LanceAllan. I've found that these programs are more intrusive and annoying than they're worth. Just practicing good data hygiene with your phone will prevent infections. The first thing I do when I have a new phone is make Lookout go away. The second thing I do is direct...
