HTML5 needs to hurry [language deleted by moderator] up and replace flash. Other than that my Nexus 7 feels faster and the gps and wireless issues seem to have been solved.
The kit kat update seems to have fixed the gps issues for me. I'm currently working on troubleshooting the wireless issues and I may have narrowed down the culprit, but overall the wireless works well too.

You can go to the bootloader and wipe the cache partition and do a factory reset from there.
More than likely the screen got flexed to the point where it would crack. And I'd imagine that it would be easy due to the size of the screen. Lesson learned, you can't and shouldn't carry it like a phone.
