I think the answer to that question is contained in the title of this thread. I didn't buy this product to become a hobbyist / hacker. I bought it to fulfill certain needs which based on its performance specs and price it should have been able to handle. It couldn't / didn't. I'll look elsewhere.

Exact same problem. Multiple reboot attempts and pushing the reset button in the little hole. Vibrated and screen changed from dark to slightly less dark. Nothing else. Decided to try connecting HDMI to TV. Walked over to TV and plugged the micro HDMI end of cable into tablet, other end still...

I'd concur with you except that it's $14.95 for a 3 month subscription or $49.95 for a one-time license fee. Either way, kind of steep.

I use Mock Locations with the Bluetooth GPS app. It allows me to use an external, WAAS-enabled, Bluetooth GPS receiver to provide other apps with my location. I'm a General Aviation pilot and this runs my navigation apps, much more accurate and reliable than the tablet's built-in GPS.

No replies after 189 reads. I'm guessing it didn't happen. Not surprised.

My main application is in the cockpit of a General Aviation airplane. So display brightness is VERY important to me for sunlight readability. Anyone know the claimed luminance of A700 in nits?
